Multi Level Marketing

Multi-Level Marketing is direct selling. Independent agents serve as distributors of goods and services, and are encouraged to build and manage their own sales force by recruiting and training other independent agents.

Commission is earned on the agent's own sales revenue, as well as on the sales revenue of the sales-force recruited by the agent and his or her recruits (called down-line).

Become one with the "Industry"

Multi-level marketing is a business model that consists of independent non-salaried individuals who are given compensation for retailing the company's products. What is more, these individuals who are usually called network marketers build a down-line organization which is basically composed of the people they've recruited to join the company.
MLM leaders who have an organization can earn profit through rewards for recruiting new people into the business and commissions from the sales of their members. The popularity of MLM has driven several companies to offer MLM opportunities and there are even some who rely solely on network marketers for the retail and distribution of their products.

One possible reason is that the cost of having salaried employees is eliminated while still retaining the same productivity. Even without a salary, people engaged in MLM are motivated to do as much as they can in order for them to earn some commission.
More so, people are likely to purchase products from friends and family members than complete strangers. This puts distributors at an advantage since they'll be selling the products to people they personally know. And even if a network marketer does not know the person, some friendly conversation and a little sales talk will soften them up and convince them to purchase some products or even join the company as a new network marketer.

Although others may think of MLM as a pyramid scam because rewards are given to individuals every time they recruit new people. This is not the case however since the focus of multi-level marketing is the retail of the company's products and recruits are given the same opportunities as those who have introduced them to the business.

What About MLM Myths?
Picture

Myth N0 1

The first thing to understand about MLM is that it is not a get rich scheme. If you receive advertising about an MLM offer that suggests it is, be very leery of that program. Legitimate programs don't promote that MLM myth.

Myth No 2

Sending out a huge number of postcards or mass random emails, posting flyers, and handing out business cards, though often suggested, just don't work. Think twice about associating yourself with a sponsor's program that promotes its offer in such ways.

Myth No 3

When you hear that anybody can make MLM work, beware. It isn't so. It is one of the most misleading of the MLM myths. Your MLM downline members need to be highly motivated, patient, and persistent. Without these traits a person is almost bound to fail in MLM.

What About MLM Myth #4

You are not really offering other people an opportunity when you try to recruit them. What you are doing is proposing a joint business venture. Make sure you can trust your sponsor in the same way you would want to be able to trust a business partner. The word 'opportunity' suggests it is ready to happen all by itself. If there is one thing about MLM that you need to know for sure it is that multilevel marketing is work - work which, if done right, can make a person lots of money.

What About MLM Myth #5:

Those who truly know about MLM understand that it requires excellent and extensive basic training. When you are told, "Just jump in and you'll do fine learning as you go," you are being misled by another MLM myth. Read widely and study the techniques used by people who have been successful. There are lots of great books about MLM available in libraries and book stores. Another great resource is the articles you can search out on the web. Google key words and phrases relating to multilevel marketing - MLM myths, about MLM, succeeding in multilevel marketing, MLM recruiting, MLM techniques, and so on. There are also excellent MLM training programs available. They cost some money but it is an investment well worth the expense. Most of them will jump start your path to financial success.

What About MLM Myths # 6:

An expensive myth is that the more advertising you pay for the better you will do. Just don't believe it. The best approach to growing your downline is absolutely free. It comes in the form of short (400 - 800 word) articles that you write about MLM. It requires several things. (1) That you have trained yourself well and have extensive knowledge that you can share. (2) That you have at least high school level writing skills (vocabulary, grammar, sentence and paragraph structure). (3) That you learn how to use keywords effectively in our articles. (4) That you learn how to get your articles spread across the web and onto web article sites. (5) That you learn how to use your articles on your own website or blog to train prospective downline members who click the links in your articles in order to explore your offer and site. (6) That you learn to automate (auto responders) your follow-up training and sales programs with those great prospects.

Whether you use a do-it-yourself training program based on books and web articles, or you complete a formal MLM training program, keep in mind all you have learned about MLM myths as well as the proven techniques you will learn.
